Yanjun Ma

Yanjun Ma is a research scientist at Baidu. He received his BA and MA in Computational Linguistics from Shandong University and Tsinghua University in 2003 and 2006 respectively, and his PhD in Computer Science from Dublin City University in 2009.

He oversees the development of the open-source PaddlePaddle Deep Learning framework. He also leads key open-source projects including PaddleNLP, a powerful NLP library built on PaddlePaddle, and PaddleOCR, a rich multilingual OCR toolkit. He also worked as a core contributor of Baidu Translate, one of the world's leading online machine translation services supporting 200+ languages. His research interests cover large language models, deep learning frameworks, with focus on Computational Linguistics.
